Chongqing Zoo proved to be a gem. Set in huge grounds the entrance leads into a vast avenue of sculptures of some of the animals on show. Out first delight was a pair of Red Pandas – I had no idea they existed - much smaller than their Giant cousins and more like a bigger version of our native pine martin.
